FAQ

What is Brew Bike Tours?

Brew Bike Tours is Richmond’s FUNNEST group pedal tour, and one of the first of its kind in the Lower Mainland.

The tour is a combination of teamwork and outdoor adventure. We specialize in special occasions: bachelorette/stagettes, bachelor/stags, corporate social events, family reunions, birthday parties, and anniversaries.

Our route takes guests on a pedaling adventure like no other. Located within historic Richmond’s harbour community of Steveston, choose from one of our featured tour options available for up to 15 riders. Tours include a certified tour guide, discounts and specials at our partner destinations, good tunes, and lots of fun along the way. Experience Pacific, Authentic Richmond as you’ve never seen it before, aboard our group pedal bike. Leave your comfort zone, and your cares behind.

Is alcohol included?

Tours do not include alcohol. Brew Bike Tours riders receive features and specials along the way at our award-winning feature partner stops.

How long is the tour?

All beverage tours are two hours in length and make three stops. We spend appropriately 20-30 minutes at each feature partner location. Your guide will keep you informed as to how much time remains at each stop so you can make the most of your time and overall experience on your tour.

Can I bring my own alcohol and drink aboard?

In accordance with provincial liquor laws, alcohol can NOT be consumed outside of licensed areas at our feature locations. We’ve partnered with some of Steveston’s best craft beverage taphouses where you are invited to indulge upon a drink of your choice. Storage is available on board for souvenirs or other purchases made along the way.

Do I need to have a group of 15 to participate?

No, you do not. As we’re a social activity designed to engage, we sell individual seats and will pair you up with other smaller groups to make the biking experience even more fun. Tours run with a minimum of 8 guests, unless otherwise specified. Our Brew Bike Tours pedal bike is a great way to meet new people, so don’t hesitate to book even 1 or 2 spots.

Are private tours available?

We welcome company socials, birthdays, stags (bachelor parties), stagettes (bachelorette parties), team-building events, family-reunions and even sports teams to experience the Brew Bike Tours pedal bike. Choose this option if you’d like to reserve the entire bike to your VIP group and choose your preferred three partner destinations. This tour requires a minimum of eight riders and can accommodate a maximum of fifteen. If you are less than 8 guests, choose from our featured public tours:

Should I tip the guide?

Tips are not required, but always appreciated.

What is the cancellation policy?

If we are not able to book a minimum of 8 seats – the bike will not go out (for physical reasons of pedaling the bike). We will contact you if there are less than 8 seats booked for your time slot. If a ride is cancelled due to this minimum, we will refund your payment if we are unable to reschedule your reservation. Our activities are fully refundable up to 72 hours prior to the activity. If you cancel less than 3 days (72 hours) in advance, there will be no refund or rain-check for your payment. All rides are required to be paid in full at the time of booking. When rain is in the forecast please come prepared with a rain jacket. All tours go rain or shine.

Can we dress up?

Absolutely. Dressing up is the BEST way to make the most of your Brew Bike Tours pedal bike experience.

Can we decorate the bike?

We welcome it. As we tour through high-traffic areas, all decorations must be family appropriate. Please contact us if you’d like to decorate the bike, and ensure you arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of your activity.
Bring your own painters tape to attach anything to the bike.

What if I am injured, or unable to pedal?

Five of the fifteen seats available on board are non-pedalling seats. Of the five, three are located as bench on the back of the bike, and two are above the rear wheels.

I’m not drinking, are non-alcoholic options available?

If you are pregnant or don’t wish to imbibe and are simply along for the fun, there are several non-alcoholic options available to you at our partner locations. Be sure to let a guide know at the start of the tour, so they may direct you to these options as needed. If your entire group is not imbibing, the Discover Steveston tour is the option for you.
